Top 100 U.S. Racehorses of the 20th Century
In 1999, Blood-Horse magazine created a panel made up of distinguished horse racing people including Howard Battle, Lenny Hale, Jay Hovdey, William Nack, Pete Pedersen, Jennie Rees, and Tommy Trotter who compiled a list of what they considered to be the top 100 racehorses of the 20th Century who had competed in the United States.
The following table consists solely of Colista's Great-Grand Sires
(Great-Grandfathers), and Great-Grand Dam
(Great-Grandmother) with their ranking in that top 100.
